Jason: Mom, I was invited to a dinner party. The parents of the girl are allowing a couple of boys over for dinner.
Mom: Jason, you know I do not want you to go because of the dangers of drinking.
Jason: Mom, come on. There will be parents there. How could they let kids drink? Nothing to worry about, I will be fine.
Mom: I do not know; I still do not feel good about this.
Jason: Okay, mom. I am leaving.
Mom: Please be careful and I want you home in a couple of hours. No later than eleven.
Jason: Love you, mom.
The next time I see my son is at the friend’s house intoxicated and unconscious. My son died due to alcohol poisoning. I am so sorry that I let you go, Jason. How could I have known that some parents allow young adults to drink? They want to be friends to their kids and not responsible parents. I love you, Jason Andrew Alcorta.
